Such a beautiful and calm piece to bring into your home and heart. This piece is an original art piece I created for one of the MATS classes taught by Lilla Rogers. (Read more about the creation of this piece here: http://bit.ly/1rwiFm2) This needle felted scene features layers of felted wool, cashmere, and bits of upcycled upholstery fabrics from my scrap bin. I added glitter to some of the fabrics. The whale momma and baby, boat and clouds are needle felted onto the fabric background, then I added embroidery details. I then framed the scene in a 9 inch embroidery hoop.
Conveys just the right amount of sweet, sophistication, retro, and whimsy, perfect to bring a measure of calming happiness to a room that needs just that. Would make a delightful and unique gift. Would also make a perfect gift for welcoming a new baby home. Sits happily on a shelf (stand is NOT included), or hangs from a nail on the wall. Can also be framed in a floater style frame like in photo 3. (Frame is NOT included) Absolutely gorgeous, unique, irresistible :o)
Care instructions for this fiber art piece is simple: approximately twice a year, using a hair dryer set on low and the "cool" heat setting, gently blow off any accumulated dust. It is also advisable to keep the art away from direct sunlight so as to prevent fading.
